About Maurice

Maurice C. Hill is a Naval Veteran and former Adjunct Professor in Mental Health Counseling. He is a member of Chi Sigma Iota International Honor Society. His academic achievement includes a master’s in Business Administration (MBA), MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, undergraduate degrees in Business Management, Business Administration, and Education. He has lectured nationally and internationally in the areas of Vicarious Trauma, the Psychological Aspects of Multiculturalism in Counselling, and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. He is a licensed professional counselor in the state of Georgia and nationally certified by the National Board for Certified Counsellors. He is an experienced counselling clinician who has worked with individuals, groups, and families, specializing in the area of trauma counselling. In 2014 Maurice was featured on a local television show in which he discussed the importance of providing multidisciplinary mental health services to individuals who suffer from severe mental illness.

In the community service arena, he facilitates an ongoing series of workshops for at risk urban youth, contributes to the AIDS, Autism, Breast Cancer, and I Am Father charities. Maurice Hill is a decorated Naval Veteran who was selected Commander Amphibious Squadron 9 Junior Sailor of the Year 1993. In his spare time he enjoys studying foreign cultures and flying single engine airplanes.
